About The Project

The Neath Income Project was set up in January 1997. It currently employs two full time workers.

In the last financial year the project helped people access and protected benefits entitlement of £516,650 through direct casework.

Besides casework, the project’s remit includes

  • · a campaigning role
  • · encouraging awareness of welfare rights issues
  • · a training and information role
  • · participation in welfare rights and anti-poverty fora

We’re sorry—but are sure that you will understand—that we can’t take on individual casework through this website; there just aren’t enough of us to go around!

We would though welcome any general feedback/ suggestions re. the future of the site and hope you will be able to find good sources of independent advice in your area.
